Sven Gunnarsson Norton Manx This exquisite 500cc Norton is no restored garage queen. Just check the
original panel beating on the tank, to create more room for a rider
with large hands. This particular motorcycle is known to have crashed
in 1962 at the Südschleife, the southern loop of the Nürburgring, while
being ridden by Swede Sven Gunnarsson. It was then restored by engineer
Torsten Arrgård, who fitted it with a new 5-speed gearbox and a Bill
Jakeman fairing to replace the destroyed Peel item. It’s been ridden
regularly ever since, with the occasional mechanical overhaul to keep
things running sweetly.
